The PANS PANDAS Steering Group (PPSG) is a multidisciplinary group convened to address the variation in care available to children and young people presenting with symptoms of PANS and PANDAS in the UK.*
The PANS PANDAS Steering Group oversees four sub-working groups:
PANS (Paediatric Acute-onset Neuropsychiatric Syndrome) and PANDAS (Paediatric Autoimmune Neuropsychiatric Disorders Associated with Streptococcal Infections) are conditions which can severely compromise children and young people’s access to education and normal quality of life. Many children currently face difficulties in accessing local NHS care for PANS and PANDAS.
The PPSG is committed to working collaboratively with colleagues and families towards improved care, educational support and outcomes for all those affected by these conditions in the UK.
Supported by NHS England and the Department of Health and Social Care, the PPSG has representation from the following organisations:

This includes primary care practitioners, allied health professionals and relevant specialists in secondary and tertiary care.
